Colourpop Super Shock EyeShadows : Mixed Tape, Wattles & Glow Swatches & Review

Eversince the first time I've my very first colourpop eyeshadows that I bought, I was completely fell for it and I've decided to add more to my collection.

For those who haven't read my ever first blog post on my Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadows, you can read my post HERE.

Now, for my other (3) additional single super shock eyeshadows. Again, it leans more on the neutral side (you know how I am a sucker for neutral shades - as you can well see in my previous post & my other blog posts hehe).
They are Mixed Tape, Wattles & Glow.

If you would notice the packaging is still the same, it's inside a matte, white box but the font is now different & the net weight of the eyeshadow is written below the unlike in the previous one, the word "super shock" excluding the word "shadow" is written in a script font at the top while the net weight is written below.

Net Weight : 2.1 g (0.074 oz.)  which is still the same weight.

At the sides of the box, the distribution, address, bunny & recycle logos & the website haven't change only the fonts but the phrase "Keep the Magic in Close Jar tightly after use" is added which every blogger have noticed how it easily the shadows dries out if the lid wasn't tightly closed.

The color inside the box differs from the previous which is a purple one. The name "Colourpop" on the clear lid is still the same which is written in holographic form.

Now unto the shades that I bought.

The first one the I bought is Mixed Tape which a cool toned mauve-y taupe in a pearl finish. At the first glance, it actually reminds me of MAC Satin Taupe - the ever famous eyeshadow from MAC but I think this is way cooler & more shinier than MAC.

This shade is perfect for a one shadow eye look makeup.

The next one is Wattles which is a dusty, satiny pink beige which is perfect for an all-over the lid shade or a on-the-go shade. This is the shade that Kathleen Lights been raving about in her youtube video & she was right. It is a beautiful pink shade & I just loooove it!

The last (for now) eyeshadow shade that I've bought is Glow which is a creamy vanilla shade in a semi-matte finish. In the website it says it's in a matte finish but I'm pretty sure when I swatched it there's a hint of shine in it. This was included in the "Where The Light Is" palette which a collaboration with Kathleen Lights. I was happy when this was sold separately because I really don't want to buy the whole palette and I already have the shade Cornelious in my collection. Aaand since, I am looking for a replacement of my fave holy grail under eyebrow highlight eyeshadow NYX Highlight which had been discontinued. NYX, yes, I am calling your attention. PLEASE-BRING-BACK-THAT-SHADE.

Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows sided by side starting from left : Mixed Tape, Wattles & Glow.

All of the Colourpop eyeshadows are smooth in texture & buttery. They are easily to blend & boy, pigmented too! This kind of eyeshadows can't be de-potted & a little bulky though but they have a single pressed powder ones which is up to my next post. So, be a look out for it.

Well, do have Colourpop Super Shadow Eyeshadows in your makeup collection? What are the shades?

Thanks for stopping by.

XO,

Mary Ann

Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadow

Hi, everyone! A few days ago, I think a week ago, I posted on my blog about ColourPop lippie stix in "Pillowtalk". I really got impressed by their lippie stix that I said to myself I've got to try their other products too. I've heard so much about their eyeshadows that I want to go get some.

I bought 3 (three) eyeshadows mostly it leans more on neutral tones almost like on the same family shade range.

Net Weight : 2.1g / 0.07 oz (each eyeshadow)

Inside the outer packaging it has a purple color while the outer is packaged in white box.

The eyeshadow is packed in a matte white circular package with a twisted cap. The name Colourpop is printed on a transparent cap which you can easily see the shades of the each eyeshadow while the printed name is holographic (oooh, I love holographic) isn't she beautiful?

At the back is where the name of the eyeshadow, the finish, net weight & the distributor printed.

The shades I bought are : Hanky Panky, Flutes & Cornelious.

The first eyeshadow is Hanky Panky - in the website is a light matte warm beige.

As you can see the swatch, it almost invisible on the back of my hand. It clearly matches on my skin tone. This one is really good for a light wash application for your eyelid especially for those with yellow undertone.

The next eyeshadow I bought is Cornelious which the website describes as a warm caramel in a matte finish.

This one is a more darker than hanky panky & it's like a lighter shade of camel color.

The third eyeshadow that I bought (for now hahaha) is Flutes which the website describes as a mid-tone matte yellow brown. I also saw from other beauty bloggers, it's more of a sepia shade. I believe this is a great dupe for the discontinued MAC eyeshadow in "Uninterrupted"

Overall, I was so impressed with the eyeshadows. The texture is so buttery & soft & very pigmented. I highly recommend you to try them.

Thanks for dropping by. 'Til next time.

XoXo,

Mary Ann
