Benefit Boi-ing Concealers Swatches & Review

This may be my late wagon here but nevertheless another post. Last year Benefit cosmetics reformulated and released their concealer range and just named them Benefit Boi-ing. Whoa, what?! At first, it was not easy for me to figure out which one is which especially I've been eyeing the Benefit Erase Paste concealer which is their under eye corrector product. Benefit cosmetics price range to be honest is not on my price point so, I was glad when I browsed at Sephora.ph had Benefit sets where certain products are in a smaller size one goodie. I saw the new Benefit Boi-ing range in a pencil shaped pouch (how cute is that?) which consists of Airbrush, Industrial Strength, Hydrating and Brightening concealers. Inside the pencil pouch inclueds also the tips and tricks and each of the concealers functions. So,k shall we jump onto the 4 kinds of Benefit Boi-ing concealers shall we?

First, the Brightening Concealer. I think this is the new version of one of the most popular Benefit erase paste. Good for correcting uneven skin tones or for the blue lines under the eye.

PIXI Correction Concentrate : Swatches & Review & Comparison

As you all know, I have dark under eye circles dilemma. And for years since I started to become passionate about makeup I've been looking for a perfect correcting concealer. One of them is Pixi Correction Concentrate in brightening peach. In fact this is included in My Top Fave : Under Eye Correctors that you can read it HERE.

PIXI CORRECTION CONCENTRATE IN BRIGHTENING PEACH

This is the second jar that I've bought & to tell you, I'm in loooove with it! But one thing I've noticed is they kind of revamp the packaging but I don't know if they have formulated the product. We'll see as you read this blog later on.

This is the outer packaging of the product. How I wish they just packed the product to the size of the item so just not confuse the buyer if it is in a bottle form or jar form.

At the side of the packaging, you'll see the ingredients of the product as well as the website of Pixi.

Inside, the product is packed in a glass jar with the green cap on the "Pixi by Petra" in printed in gold shade on the center.

I've put side by side my previous pixi corrector & their latest packaging. You will see the huge difference. Gone was the cute pixie fairy silhouette which I prefer more & was replaced by just the name of the product. Sorry for the dirty cap (hihi).

Upon opening the jar, lo, & behold, love the peachy shade.

Net Weight : 3 g / 0.1 oz

I am happy to say that the shade & consistency of the concealer is still the same but the texture is more creamier.

So, have you tried PIXI Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach? You can buy it locally in all beauty stores or online.

My Top 3 Fave : Under Eye Corrector

I am saying this & I am saying this again. I have dark circles problem & before I thought just applying an ordinary concealer is enough but I was wrong. It always end up sinking into fine lines or being very cake-y after setting it with powder or worse having a raccoon eye which ugh... doesn't look good. When I learned about applying corrector, I thought it would just be the same result like before but boy, I was wrong. I got a brighter complexion as if I had a wonderful beauty rest!
Here are my Top 3 Fave Corrector - all drugstore! Which I have done each one of them a blog post. Just click the name of the corrector.

All of the 3 correctors have the same peachy shade but the SkinFood leans more lighter undertone. While Pixi & City Color leans more peachy shade but City Color is a slight bit darker.

Do watch out for more of my Top Fave :) Thank you for reading my post.

SkinFood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream Review

Corrector plays a major part in the steps of doing makeup because, from the word, it corrects the uneven skin tone of an individual. It cancels out discoloration in your face that depends on what color you want to cancel out. There are a lot of beauty brands that sells corrector concealers one of them (which is one of my wishlist) that started it all is the Bobbi Brown Corrector. But I must admit, I am one of those person which doesn't want to spend much money just to buy a concealer, it's not yet on my price point. Thankfully, there are other drugstore brands that sells their own version of correctors & one of them is SkinFood which is a Korean brand that is available pretty much in every malls here in the Philippines.
Before I bought this, I Googled for reviews & swatches & most reviews said that this is an alternative to Pixi Correction Concentrate corrector that is not yet available here that I was itching to buy during that time.

Packaging : It comes in a small glass like jar with a gold color lid.

The shade leans more of a lighter peach. I did a comparison with Pixi Correction Concentrate, you can check my swatches of the two in this post.

Overall, I love this product. It's creamy & the right shade for my skintone & I believe to all skintone. Thick enough but not too thick to sink into fine lines. A little goes a long way with this product.

So, did you try this corrector? What do you think?

Thanks for dropping by!

Mary Ann

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer Swatches & Review

Ever since I was a child, my biggest problem are my dark, dry under eye circles. When I started doing makeup, I learned about concealers but a lot of them that I've used ended up so thick & sinks on my lines that it become so cakey after setting them with a setting powder. Before the day ends, I saw dry patches of concealers under my eyes which is not good! After trying & testing so many concealers finally, I have found one of my favorites. I saw this from one of my favorite beauty guru applying it on her dark under eyes.

Packaging : Comes in a small transparent glass like square jar with a gold colored cap.

The name of Missha's concealer is painted on one side of the glass like jar.

Net weight : 10 g . My shade is # 21 which is the lightest shade available & I think it is.

When you open the cap, another plastic like cover seen before you can see the product.

That's what it looks like when you open the cover.

The texture is smooth & consistency is a little bit thick, just apply a little amount on your under eye using your ring finger, so, a little goes a long, long way guys.

The shade is more yellow undertone & it's smooth upon swatching. I don't have a problem with the product sinking in the lines on my under eyes & the more you blend with your ring fingers in a dabbing motion the more it softens & glides smoothly across the area under your eyes.

A closer look on the swatch.

Also, did I mention the cap has a beautiful flower shape like? But if you look more closely, it's just hearts being put together. How lovely is that? It has a touch of a feminine side don't you think?

Thank you for dropping by!
