Sleek Highlight Palettes

For the past few years that I have into makeup, I learned a lot of techniques, strokes & other things that's all about makeup. I also learned some different looks & one of them is that glowing look & that's when highlighting comes in...
Ever since I learned about highlighting, I've been a completely obsessed with applying it hahaha. Well, that is over exaggerating but highlighting is one of the makeup products that I can't live without.
I have a couple of highlighter & two of them are from Sleek Makeup.

Below are the actual shot of the swatches of the Solstice & Cleopatra's Kiss on my cheekbones.

Overall, I love these highlighting palettes. As you can see on the swatches above (both on the back of my hand & on my cheekbones) both are made for every skin tone. The Solstice is good for those very fair to fair skin while the Cleopatra's Kiss is good for medium to dark skin. But for me personally, both can be use for every skin tone it's just a matter of technique in placing the highlight on a strategic places on your face.

Have you tried Sleek's Highlighting Palette in Solstice & Cleopatra's Kiss?

Thanks for dropping by.

H & M is known worldwide as one of the fashion trendsetter store that have a highly quality of clothes but with a more affordable price range. You can find the latest fashion clothes that's not a pain in the pocket. I thought that's it but when I got a christmas gift from one of my friend, I was surprised to receive an eye shadow palette by H & M for a smoky look. Wow! I thought to myself, they are not just into clothing fashion but beauty trendsetter as well & I was so happy to learn that info. I quickly opened the palette & began swatching each eye shadow & boy, I was so impressed by the pigmentation & color payoff of each that I can't wait to try them next day.

The palette comes in a plastic case with the a transparent cover so that I you easily identify & see the shades which consists of 5 different shades. Mine, I got from white to grey to taupe to dark black shades.
Net Weight : 0.26 oz / 7 g

At the back of the palette are the ingredients of each eye shadow. They are just labeled numbers, they don't have names compares to other makeup brands which they gave a name on each shade.

Here are the swatches of each of the eye shadow & by the looks of it, each are pigment & all are in shimmer finish perfect for a combination look or just one shade eye look.

Overall, loving this palette. Best for both daytime smokey look or evening look.

Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette : Swatches & Review

Neutral palettes have been a rave in recent months that both high ends and drugstore ends have their own version. When Catrice, a European makeup brand have released their version I didn't have to think twice that I have to get one for myself.

Catrice Cosmetics in Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette contains 6 eye shadows that are encased in a sleek rectangular shaped plastic case with transparent lid to easily seen shades. It consists from light beige to bronze to dark brown in satin to shimmer finish.

At the back it has a step by step eye makeup tutorial with added tips and the description.
Net Weight : 6 g / 0.21 oz.

A closer look of the eye shadows which not only can make an everyday EOTD but also you can do an evening look too! A dual ended applicator is also included in the palette (a sponge tip applicator and a small blending brush).

Here are the swatches of each of the eye shadows in the Catrice's Absolute Nude palette.

Overall, as you can see on the swatches above the eye shadows are pigmented though no matte finish but each shadows are very versatile perfect for an morning look to a more smokey evening look. I highly recommend for those who wants to try Catrice products. This is a perfect item especially for a first time trier for Catrice cosmetics.

So, do you have this palette? Have you tried?

Love to hear them.

Sleek Makeup I-Divine Palette in A New Day & All Night Long Swatches & Review

When Sleek Makeup introduced their new I-Divine palettes collection a few months ago, I can't wait to have them. Sleek products are one of the high street products in the UK & you might know from whom I learned this brand. From the Pixiwoo sisters of course (did I mentioned them often in my blog, well, get used to it hahaha - just kidding, I love the Pixiwoo sisters) Without any hesitation, I bought them online at Zalora-philippines, pressed the "buy now" button & wait impatiently for the package to be delivered. When I got them, I immediately opened & boy, I was so giddy with happiness because of the beautiful gems inside the palettes. I thought, I have another two to add to my treasure trove (grinning).

They are the Sleek's I-Divine Palettes in "A New Day" & "All Night Long". From the looks on their carton you might already have an idea of what shades are consists in each palette.

On the back of the carton, the name of the palette & the names of each shades that's inside the palette as well as the ingredients are printed.

Sleek I-Divine palettes are packed in a sleek, black elegant looking plastic compact. The brand "Sleek" is being lightly embossed in the center of the front palette while at the back the name of the palette is printed.

Each palette of Sleek consists of 12 eyeshadows with a black dual ended sponge tip applicator. Here, the shades consists of light creams, pink to dark browns. The name of each shade though are printed on the plastic cover which is a downside so, if you want to re-create your EOTD better not lose it, a forewarning. The compact has a mirror, same size of the palette located on the lid which is good for traveling & easy carrying with a worry free mess.

  • Don't Worry - a shimmery bronzey brown shade
  • Be Happy - a matte creamy white (reminds me of MAC Brulee - perfect for under brow highlight)
