Hi! Everyone, here's another blog review on a product that I love. It's the Milani Baked Bronzer. This product was introduced last year (I think-correct me if I'm wrong guys thanks) when baked makeup products were in hype. The first time I saw this at their main website I was intrigued and right then and there I decided to have at least one shade.
So, I've ordered from a friend of mine, since they are not available here, unfortunately. It really sucks right?
Disclaimer : I paid for this product and I am not affiliated with this company.
The first time I saw this, it reminds me of the Urban Decay baked bronzer but the packaging of this is a little bit bulky.
The top is a clear almost glass like which is good because you can see the shade without ever opening the product. The ring like that surrounds the lid where the the name "Milani" and product name is gold colored.
Milani describes this product as : A bronzing powder that features a
mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracota tiles. Easy to
use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily
luminous, enhancing the purity of the skin. This hi-tech, streak free
bronzer, gives you a perfect radiant look. - *Thumbs up for this, I agree to what it says*
There are three shades available - all of them has this spray on shimmer gold veins that looked very much like the MAC msfs (I am also a sucker for MAC msfs FYI hehehe). I bought the Glow which is the lightest bronzer of the three. The other two are the "Soleil" which is the medium shade and the "Golden" which is the darkest shade. I think they are good for all skin types from the porcelain skin to darker skin but it depends on your application. I suggest you use a much fluffier brush or kabuki or a fluffly stippling brush. This is good as an all over bronzer or contour for porcelain to light skin. Same to medium skin. You can apply this alone or top it off with a light mattish pink blush on top since this has shimmer in it. For darker skin - this product's good as highlighter using the "Glow or Soleil" and as a contour using the "Golden". This can be applied as a contour bronzer using an angle brush.
The gold veins are very shimmery but don't worry they are just sprayed on shimmers with continuous use it would be just light shimmer more matte-ish effect. If you don't want the shimmer, you can wipe it off with a clean, damp cloth.
Beneath the product contains the mirror with a free flat brush which I don't like. It's scratchy on your face and small which is not good especially if you are in a hurry, you might probably be having the trouble of applying your bronzer.
Final thoughts :
I love the way it makes my face radiant and dewy, fresh look. From it's dome shape this would take me a long, long way before I ever use up this bronzer plus, it also costs $8.99 when you buy this at their website compared to Urban Decay's baked bronzer $26. A great alternative to high end bronzers! Try buying it online like the cherryculture.com which ships internationally but be warn, the shipping fee is kinda expensive exclusive of the customs and taxes. So, if you know someone who sells this online in a cheaper price go grab yourself one. I highly recommend this.
For those who loves dewy, radiant look - this is perfect for you but do be aware not to apply to much on your face because you would look like a disco ball or a greasy face which is not good.
But for those who wants a matte look - this is not for you.
I love wearing this bronzer eventhough I am a combination to oily skin. I guess it's just depends on how you apply it.
This is one of my favorite bronzers though, I have a couple of other brands hehehe (aha! guilty hahaha..)
Where to buy : Amazon, Ebay, milanicosmetics.com, cherryculture.com, cvs.com
Would I repurchase this ? Yes!
Peppermint Crinkles' Approval : 4.4/5
So, what are your fave bronzers? Care to share?
Till next time ;)
XOXO,
Mary Ann
I've been browsing on-line greater than three hours nowadays, but I never discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours. It's beautiful worth sufficient for me. Personally, if all website owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the internet will probably be a lot more helpful than ever before.
